Big Ben

Big Ben is a prominent name in the New York Club Circuit who hails from Brooklyn by way of uptown. He was inspired to become a DJ by his older brother who was a disco Dj. Big Ben discovered Hip-Hop on his first trip to the record store and has not looked back since. he deejayed his first party at the age of 14 where he decides he could make it into a full time job. At 19 he broke into the NYC club scene where he started being booked at the hottest clubs and catching the attention of NYC’s most exclusive party promoters as well as record label reps.

Before he knew it he was playing for upscale crowds and celebrities. At the same time he was hired for many out of town gigs which led him to play in Chicago, Miami, Greece, and LA to name a few. At the age of 25, he was offered with the voice of New York herself, Angie Martinez as her DJ/Hype-Man. When that was over he was offered another opportunity and became the opening DJ for the Backstreet Boys and O-Town.

Upon returning to NYC he was approached by another radio station to become a mixer. He took opportunity but then decided his heart was not in it. He looked to long time mentor and friend DJ Enuff for advice and left the position. Enuff then made him a Heavy Hitter and with the blessing of Funk Master Flex he was offered a position to become a mixer for HOT 97. This was a great moment in his career since mixing on HOT 97 is the highest recognition a DJ can receive.

If you go to a club and hear BIG BEN will be spinning you can be sure you will hear Rock, Hip-Hop reggae, 80’s music and more. He is well known for his eclectic style. You never know what you will get but you can bet it will be good. Expect big things to come from BIG BEN.
